Not the entire wow crowd. But I know between XI and WoW, people were generally nicer on XI than anyone I saw on WoW. I never played WoW. But my friend quit XI for WoW And I saw how people were. And I saw how he started to act too.

As someone who played WoW until only a few months ago, i can tell you that my server had far more good than bad which is probably something you'll find on any server that you play on. Just like this game, you'll find far more good than bad on an average day, but if you go looking for and focus on the bad, then you'll find and remember the bad.

People talk about how bad a community is when they never played the game..........

If you want a toxic community, go check out the korean mmos. You dont know drama until you experience that mess.

People who claim 11 had nicer players than 14 don't take something into consideration. Most of these complaints about "elitist players" or "Uncaring players" or those that want to "Just get things done." occur at end game. FF11 is perceived by some as better community probably by people who didn't make it to it's end game due to the leveling system. In most modern mmorpgs getting to the end game is actually easily achieved by most casual players. The same players who wouldn't have made it to the end game in older mmorpgs.

Yes video games are not different and should be for everyone, but some games aren't for everyone. When the success of a group is dependent on each individual, I don't think every game is for everyone, there's a reason why I don't play RTS games with my friends. There's also a reason why some people shouldn't be playing MMO's.

Heres what i do
I have a full DL pal with relic+1 and when i do some runs the obnoxious players have to follow my lead or leave and retry for group for 30 mins minimum.

If a gamer makes a bad call and we wipe and you are angry at them, You can leave
If you are a DD lf speed run and make a comment to a gamer that agroes something "Extra" and call him names, You can leave
