What resources? They are working on the game regardless.
Ok granted, this is absolutely correct.
I'm trying to tie in their "risk assessment" statement. I believe that they will consider what will get them the best outcome for the use of the resources they have available.
Between Jump and Chocobos which would bring in more subscribers?
Jump and Story Quests?
And continue on like that, jump will remain on the back burner until most of what people want becomes implemented. By that point people may be happy with the game and jump won't even need to be considered.
I think I lost where I was going with that.
Then again, some people who voted for limited jump would not have voted in favour of jump at all if "limited" hadn't been an option. Some would have voted no. So the votes for limited jump can't be taken as "for jump" but only as it says.. "for limited jump."
Edit:
Some who voted for limited wouldn't hate unlimited jump, but would prefer limited.
Some who voted for limited would hate unlimited jump and not vote for it.
It's not so black and white, and can't be seen as only for or against.
@Leeloo: I'm sorry you didn't understand. I explained it as well as I possibly could have.
@BloodLotus: Thank you. ^^ I'm usually not very good at explaining things. I hope it helps some people.
2 say I WANT jumping
1 says I DON'T WANT jumping
Sure there may be particulars about the kind of jumping you'd like to see or are willing to deal with, but voting for something that says "I WANT" jumping says "I'm for jumping" to me -shrugs-
No, they don't. And they shouldn't be taken that way as it's misleading. They say "limited" and "unlimited."
If suddenly the "limited" option was taken away, many more votes could go into "no jump" for all we know.
The poll results do not simply express "jump or no jump." It's just a tiny bit more complicated than that.
it is just hard to explain this to people who never study on this field to understand.
But basically, when someone want to make a good poll, there is a method for each case to make thing most fair (for research purpose), and also method to make thing most unfair (for business purpose)
This poll just happen to be kind of the second purpose I mention, either you wished for that or not.
To make thin most fair in this case : (you can go ask your teacher/professor to confrm if you know any)
Because there is 3 choice we want : black, white-grey, and grey.
The type of poll that is the most suitable for this is to make score for each choice: Then, allow player put what they want most in order from 3 score, 2 score, and 1 score. (If SE want to make a poll, their poll maker will use this style)
However, I know that this forum not allow it, so the best choice we have is to do it in 2 thread : want jump or not first. and then divide between jump later. Hope you understand what I want to point out.
Me personally is not against anybody or any choice, I just see this unfair, so I point this out.
I see your point, but how many people who voted for limited jumping would vote no jumping for the reasons outlined throughout the entire thread?
Those like myself who wouldn't mind a middle ground would have to vote for no jumping when that wasn't what I wanted exactly. The gray area lets me express the kind of jumping I personally and apparently a few others wouldn't mind being implemented in the game.
