A game isn't defined by it's environment. If that was the case, launch would have been as much fun to play as the end of 1.0 but it, clearly, wasn't. It is defined by it's mechanics and what the player has to do to be effective. Limiting action selection to your current job plus two other classes, implementing combos, and defining the roles each job plays in a party is a huge difference from how you played the launch classes. It feels like you are playing a different game when the changes are that drastic. It is less a different between 1.0 and ARR than launch and 1.0 if you are being objective, but no one who didn't play the end of 1.0 seems to understand that.
