The Golden Saucer is good for games. Like .... gladiatorial ones. Solo boss challenges. Rate yourself against the masses.

I hope it's not another fail chocobo racing thing like in XI

For a card game, I would go with the one in Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon.

Chocobo racing would seem like a good fit, but I would like to have more control that what was given in XI. Maybe run an obstacle course of sorts with several others. Add places to jump for a small short cut or to pass an obstacle, pits to fall into and maybe out of the race, and various obstacles like Bombs crossing the track and self-destructing if racers got too close.

I would personally like the Gold Saucer to just be a fun place to hang out with people and do some mini games or something when people want to take a break from leveling/farming.

I wanna get rich by gambling. I mean, that's way cooler than getting rich by means of primary production or market trade, right?
But honestly, ff-themed card games, chocobo-stuff, typical casino stuff like slot machines and roulette etc, arcade games, whatever. Everything's fine with me as long as it's well executed! =]

I want to see .hack//GU style Arena battles with the palace victories that people can bet on! I feel it would bring a more, alive feel to the PvP world that it's always missed. Being able to watch and cheer on your friends as they compete in a tournament... rise up and become a "Palace Emperor" that was fun! :)

If they can get chocobo racing right it could be the best thing in any MMO as a non-combat experience.

Imagine racing round some course with a full bar of different skills to get the best out of your mount and dupe your opponents.

I would also love to see an "arcade" added, maybe one that would let you play some of the older FF games with some sort of "point" system added for rankings. Assuming you will be getting tickets (or some other form of currency), as a reward when playing these games, what do you suppose might be buyable at the "gift-shop" of this "casino-theme park".
