Wanderer's Palace pudding boss OP?

I used to think gear was the issue but lack of ability to learn your class and follow a kill order are the main issues. The main cause is the fact Fate grinding is so easy to do so people get a shortcut to lvl 50 and even if they then craft or buy decent gear they have no idea how to play their class because they never practiced properly by spamming a lot of dungeons.

He can one shot healers, his "melee" attack or whatever it is, has
a very long range.

OP said its harder than HM Ifrit and asked when the nerf was coming. Don't expect constructive replies if you type... that.

This boss can honestly be very tough, even for well geared parties. Contrary to many people's statements, it's not "stupid easy". Saying something like that is arrogant and one sided, YOU have no trouble, that doesn't mean that everyone will breeze through as easily as you do. Now that that is out of the way, the OP asked for help, even if the OP asked about if you THINK (not saying there should, but if you THINK) there might be a nerf in the future does not mean you all have to act like blizzard's wow junkies and jump down the OP's throat
Op wanted help, so here is help.

The giant pudding boss will spawn adds on a timer, not based on it's life, it will spawn many varieties. Blue (heals the adds, boss and stone skins them), purple (casts heavy on the target), white (casts a frost style debuff), green (haven't figured out what this one does yet, may be just damage), yellow (paralyzes). These adds should, realistically be dropped in a particular order, the order my Linkshell uses is: Blue, Purple, yellow, white, green. This order allows you to neutralize threats the quickest. Now, you can take these adds out with aoe, and that is preferable, but not every group will have this possibility in front of them. You can drop the adds quickly using one of two methods, either single target and burn as quick as possible, or start with your whm and holy them. The important thing is that the tank needs to grab hate right away, warriors can grab hate slightly easier than paladins in this case with steel cyclone, but an on the ball paladin can grab them all with a few well placed flashes. Now, assuming you have destroyed the adds in time, shortly after they spawn, the boss will "target" someone and a mark will appear. If you have a summoner or a bard have them use tri-disaster and shadowbind respectively. This will allow the person being chased to get as far away from the boss as they can. The one chased should run around the outer edge of the room, and, assuming they can spare the tp, sprint can help greatly in survival. If no adds have been dropped, or only a few, they will also chase and debuff the target (part of why after dropping the healer you drop the ones that debuff). After they attempt to smack down one of your party, the boss will return to the tank (assuming the tank still has the most hate), and, shortly again, another set of mobs will appear. The first two pops of adds, do not have blue in them, so focus from purple onward, whatever is missing. If you have a black mage, or summoner, they can limit break the third pop of adds to eliminate them all at once, making the fight much easier on the healer and everyone else. This fight is a dps race, if you aren't quick on taking the adds, nothing prevents the next group from spawning and it's easy (far too easy) to get overwhelmed.
when the boss has less than 10% health, it's not a bad idea to hyper focus on the boss and ignore the adds, if your dps is quick enough, you can avoid another game of "tag" with the boss.

I hope this guide helps you, honestly, despite being a long term MMO veteran myself and a legacy player, I too found this stupid pudding to be the hardest boss I've faced thus far.

Hm, I don't think it's that hard but it is the toughest fight of the instance. It, like pretty much every other fight in the game requires strategy and a good dps punch to carry along with it.

The pudding can be a real annoying boss if you're not careful. The adds can stack up, and without good DPS or AOE attacks the paralyze and heavy will cause deaths.

You always kill blue then white on the adds. When targeted, run round the edges until the boss returns to the tank.

The dungeon is beautiful, and a lot of fun. It doesn't need changing mechanically, just a little strategy and the boss will go down leaving you thinking "how didn't I beat that hours ago?"
