And this is why they added the 15-minute duty-quitter penalty. (For non-grouped players)... so a arrogant tank can't abandon people and requeue

I've been insulted A LOT for my character name. Whenever I use shout chat at least one person starts an argument or bitches about how unoriginal it is to use a Final Fantasy character's last name in a Final Fantasy game.
But whatever. I'd change it if I could but unfortunately I've put a lot of time and effort into my character and I'm not going to restart it just so I don't have to hear it anymore.
Just had very immature tank and DPS in Vale party. DPS accidently pulled mob. Tons at very start of instance it can happen. Tank screamed at DPS DPS screamed at tank tank said screw this I'm going afk. Runs up to entrance and sits there. DPS says more stuff then leaves instance. Tank gets mad and says reopen instance yells at me saying reopen it which it already was. Tells me to pass lead which I couldn't then throws another temper tantrum and leaves. Healer leaves and I'm like uggg after 35 min wait that was horrible on tanks and DPS part.
As long as there are no consequences for bad behavior, immature people of all ages will act mean/stupid/rude with impunity.
As MMO players we are anonymous, hiding behind our character names. Being anonymous, we are free to be mean/stupid/rude, because we feel that we will get away with it. And the vast majority of the mean/stupid/rude people DO get away with it.
My mother once told me, "Your true character comes out when you are alone and temptation comes your way. How you act when nobody is watching shows your true character."
That has never left me.
Have not experienced too much of the bs yet well other then those annoying gil sellers
Ok, is this even possible? I hear talks of it being possible during closed beta, though I was never a party leader when I was in beta, so I wouldn't know. But as far as I know, passing leadership is restricted to having to leave the instance altogether. It is rather irritating when people keep asking you to pass leadership.
Char names are crazy, I've seen Tide Coldwater, Online Predator and even Captain Cumshot on Leviathan.
To change leader, you go into Social menu, Party tab, right click the person's name and click promote. I'm fairly certain you can still do this in a dungeon (I may be wrong, I haven't tried since the game went live, but, yes, it was doable in Beta 3).
