PvP?

I'm afraid to argue with that Vinta guy. He has glasses and a smart-person hat ; ;

I just love how when someone says anything about pvp the care bear bragragde comes out lol. We get it you can't handle fighting other players becouse they are not on rails like a pve monster, let it go already. Also yoshi has already said he will be adding a DAOC style pvp system in the game, heck pvp has been in MMO games since the start with UO but I am sure most of you PVE care bears probly only played EQ and PVE.

I love pvp and I'm not even looking forward to it in this game. FF is a pve game, I really can't expect them to have a decent/balanced pvp system.
This game is fun pve though and a good way to pass time until more pvp oriented games (Bless, B&S, etc) finally make their way to NA

I'd probably give PvP a shot. My only real problem with PvP is how the PvP crowd can be. Overly mean and yelling hacker every time they lose or something along those lines.

I hate to agree with the more belligerent posters, but the care bear is strong in this thread. Just because you personally don't like pvp doesn't mean it isn't important and will not be a part of the game.

4 vs 4 and 8 vs 8 is coming out with the next patch. The realm vs realm (gc vs gc) will be a few patches later. I can't wait for the pvp in this game and have high hopes for it.

Why do people feel the need to insult others over a video game ?

I'd rather play PVP than PVE any day, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy PVE. I like PVE for the initial challenge, but once you know a bosses' patterns and abilities it becomes boring to kill said boss over and over again just go you can get gear to raise your parser status.

PVP allows you to combat an actual thinking enemy and different variations (comps), while focus on adapting/strengthening your skills.

What? It's like why people feel the need to insult others over a sport. Don't worry, if you don't want to PvP it won't affect your experience. Duty Finder has PvP for others to select but it isn't available right now.

PvP was tested in open Beta by 1.0 characters. It will have a separate skill set for PvP as well as many other fun stuff geared just towards PvP. It has been stated that it will be a part of 2.1 patch that is coming about 2 and a half months after release. The only thing that might set that patch back a bit are the server issues they are having but I cant see it being more than an extra 15 days delayed.

I wish I could quote you all the posts and dev comments about it but with so much out there, I would be hard pressed to find it all or provide accurate info. One thing you can search for is the Q&A for the last two Letters From The Producer LIVE (5 and 6) where you can see pics of PvP gear, comments on how it should look, how GC's will impact them and more.

(Now, was that so hard to do? the guy asks a question and instead of just giving the man an answer its childish name calling for 4 pages... what a waste of a posting limit.)
