RMT spam fixes need to happen sooner then later

Probably just as rampant. A lot of these appear to be hacked accounts, and that won't stop because people absolutely suck at security. The ones that aren't... well, frankly, RMT exists because RMT is profitable. Lots of people are more than happy to open their wallet in return for eliminating a time sink. If it wasn't at least profitable enough to pay for box price (for 30 days free) then they wouldn't bother doing it, they'd just go to another game.

There is no real way to eliminate RMT without accidentally banning a lot of innocent people, but there are absolutely measures that can be taken to crack down on it pretty severely. Those aren't happening, for whatever reason. Even having a GM cycling through the cities and watching chat for 30 seconds would be effective at this point.

This has seriously gotten completely out of control, and SE's complete lack of ... everything is making it ten times worse.

1) There's no right click ignore - what's worse, is they've acknowledged we want one, but need to "discuss" it.
2) Chat channels are NOT restricted in any way allowing RMT to literally spam every couple of secconds.
3) There's no server-side, or client-side algorithms detecting their spam.

ALL of these things could seriously be coded and implemented within a day.

Making it easier to blist people would be nice, and I don't buy SE saying we would make to many mistakes with a feature like right-click blist. You can always remove names if you make a mistake.

But then what about the cap of 200? At least hot fix a shout filter, that can't be too hard to do.

If Square really cared about the RMT spam, the solution would be simple. Put 1 GM in each city, Insta-Ban the account when the RMT shout's, If the RMT's had to pay for new acct's several times a day then the spam would definately slow down. The fact of the matter is that they are paying customers so Square will let them keep on spamming, sad but true.

Now it got even worse, now this mindless bastards spam you in whisper non-stop too,SE has 4 days to go to wipe this trash out of the servers,if this continues even when monthly payments start,i'll have to quit the game until they fix this,this is not the way to enjoy a game.

I'm starting to run out of space on my blacklist..... Not to mention even when on my blacklist some of their shouts slip through every few minutes.

If you are able to right click to send a tell/invite/friend, then you should be able to report/ignore also. Really tired of this shit, fix it or I won't be playing!

What I'm concerned about is how whether big or small it will affect the economy. The "illegally obtained" gil and items will have saturated the markets one way or another, and will never go away.

Definitely need a right-click report/ignore function. Adding people to blist is going to screw them over when they get their accounts back and half the server has them on blist
