Thanks for this! Admittedly I didn't quite understand the new update. This is definitely the change I've been looking for. Yay!

I haven't tried the latest changes to targetting... Patched the game last night, then spent the evening continuing my Harry Potter marathon in prep for the last movie (I need to be freshly mad at Bellatrix)...
Probably do a bunch of stuff tonight though.
I love it....

They still don't understand how to make the game friendly to everyone
just allow us to have ability to setting/customize what we want!
How can anyone be happy with this, as it's clearly bugged. In either tm A or B locked on enemy, you can target friendlies, and in either mode locked on friendlies you can target enemies. Fix this and then let's asses this.
My thoughts exactly... and why people need to HOLD DOWN auto run button to auto run when it requires just a tap is beyond me... *facepalm* They damn well near perfect the controller targeting and people bytching like mad... Tmode B was untouched and all Tmode A added was ability to access other targeting types with the added ability to select pt members and close npcs while on enemy mode lmao...
I don't even know why I'm responding to this nonsense of a thread still, guess it just gives me a good laugh at how people can never read the patch notes properly and get messed up on the stupidest things xD
Today mine got stuck also. Though partially my fault.
I don't have a button set for emote list - so I need to add that to be able to set it back to "all." That's my fault.. but...
Here's the issue: While "friendly" (main menu button), and "enemy" (select/confirm button) work just fine, auto-run + cancel for "party" mode doesn't seem to do anything. I can't switch to party mode.
Anyone else having this issue?
Actually.. just considered the thought that I may have to be in a party to switch to party mode... Does anyone know? Can you switch to "party" target mode while not in one?
I actually like the switch, despite the fact that I got stuck on it once. May have accidentally tapped a button when I hit auto-run. Gonna have to be careful about that. I think it's the best thing SE could have done for controller players. (And this is coming from a person who HATED the initial "target mode" thing.)
I don't understand how the targeting system is so bad. It shouldn't take any time at all to target your enemy or allies. In WoW no matter what you want to do it's instant targeting. How is it so bad in this game?
