first weekend after wednesday maintenance (1017)

feeling bad, been in the queue 2 times but before i get to the loading screen , 1017......

Since the update I havent had a single issue logging in. Chances are your server is over capacity and that is why you're seeing the 1017 error. They did increase the capacity of servers to anywhere between 7500 to ~7800 (notice the tilde.. it means approx for those that dont know). If that user limit is reached the chances of logging in are slim to none until people log out. With the increase to the servers, there really isn't a need for anyone NOT to log out. It's plain and simple that the 1017 error has been resolved and there should be no fear of logging out to not get back on. However, this logic is clearly not justified since people will inevitably just AFK whenever they please since they think that user limits wont ever be reached now.

I would advise you guys look into the population on your server and see what it's like and consider if it's always full up or not. If it's not, no worries. If it is, I think you know that it would be a wise decision ahead of time to decide which servers to xfer to when transfers become available. Anyways, best of luck to you all. Hopefully that 1017 disappears soon for you.

What u said is true.
My server is highly populated and this is the bad thing bout it.
But high population also brings benefit, i made lots of gils in this server.
Just hope they will increase even more capacity.

Sorry, but the 1017 error is inexcusable. If the server is full, put people in a queue like EVERY OTHER MMO EVER MADE. It is clearly NOT resolved, as it is still happening.

The 2002 error (lobby connection fail error) actually boots you totally out of the game client and forces you to load and login all over again. I've had half a dozen of those already. And that can't be explained by a single server being full.

I would hope there will be a further extension of the free trial period for this crap.

If these 2002 errors continue I'm gonna have no choice but to remove my authenticator.

I have to agree that we are expecting better for a P2P game.
I would rather see me queuing 999 than spamming 0.
Hopefully it gets better this week.

Pretty poor indeed, I paid for a game, I got 30 days included game time, but cannot play.....

As others have posted, MMOs are like this, but to have said to have fixed the issue, then the first period of high traffic to have it fall over is not much chop.

Yeah no error 1017 on Balmung since update... Dunno..

Same thing for me on Tiamat.

This is my first FF game but i have to say they seem like a bunch of amateurs from what i have seen so far.
