exactly. ffxi was too overcrowded to do anything with 3000 people, now we have more than twice that and it doesn't hinder anything. The coolest thing is, 7500 is just the temporary limit. Could probably get as many as 10k on each server as long as the duty finder can handle it.

1.) There needs to be an AFK kick.
2.) There needs to be a queue-- a real queue.

Until these are implemented, I will NOT be patient. I'm going to keep calling SE out on their incompetence.

I know a lot of people were looking forward to this maintenance to fix the server issues, and it did but didn't from what I am seeing. Firstly 3102 is back and yes they are aware and working on it. Secondly they opened up all the worlds for character creation again however it looks like most of the worlds are once again locked as of 10 am pacific time. Log in issues are still apparent. No AFK time limit was established which is still a contributing plain as day factor for the issues of server congestion.
I have a guild of friends I have been gaming with for years that are still scattered across the realms and we are now going into week 2 of ACTUAL game time with this issue for not just myself but many.

I understand that time is always needed, for me this team has proven to be very reactive to issues and not proactive. Will see where this goes in another couple weeks.

You dont want a shitstorm of people on each server because then the content suffers from it. Its bad enough that FATES are 200 people zergs now, lets not make them into 400 people zergs.

The amount of trolls in this thread is high.

They are trying to do the opposite of every other mmo that came out. Trying to beat the initial rush instead of opening up the floodgates and dealing with the merges later. Remember SWTOR had over 4 million boxes sold the first month, AOC had million, GW2 had millions, this its not the only game to have this many initial players.

This is the second time they vastly underrated their sales, and this is with not selling any new boxes since the weekend. Now imagine if they start selling boxes again, we will be int he same boat in a few days.

Amateur hour at best.

It was only supposed to add new worlds. There was no promise to immediately open closed worlds, or start multiple character creation.

Also, you haven't had any duty finder problems because the login restrictions were deliberately in place to prevent too many users from hitting the Duty Finder at once. So the reason you never had problems was directly because of the login restrictions.

Because not making money has always been the best business model around>?

1. People not able to play with their guild/communities due to server limitations
2. People not able to log in due to server limitations
3. People unable to buy the game due to server limitations
4. People considering not paying after the first month due to frustration due to server limitations

see a pattern forming here?

Seriously, this is beyond being patient. This is beyond being reasonable. What is happening here is a lack of goods and services for paying customers. In almost all cultures this is considered theft...

Bamajer the reason they put the hard set the max people connected was because the duty finder was crashing. The splitting of the duty finder should help them increase the population cap. The reason you weren't having problems with the duty finder was they were mitigating it with 1017.
