To everyone complaining about not being able to get into the game...

I feel like a lot of people posting on this page haven't read the date on the OP...

still an interesting topic :D when it was same thing 8 years back . but tbh they should expect kinda there will be those problems and they didnt prepare . like waiting 5 hours yesterday in queue haha . well im okay with that, it just sucks when you can play only at weekends :D understandable that there is pandemic and shortage of anything so they cant increase capacity but still ...

This. I have seen enough of those people working in customer service at a store back in the day. Whining for the sake of whining. The devs are communicating and apologizing left and right, telling us what the problem is and which steps they are taking, what do they want more? They were very aware that this would happen and warned us days before. Server blades are almost impossible to get since at least March of this year and this influx of people started in Summer, so there.

Instant gratification syndrome is something that came to pass because parents didn't teach their children boundaries for snotty behaviour. Very rampant in more wealthy countries.

Sure, we will just wait. Wait maybe a week. Servers will still be full. Two weeks from now servers will still be full. A month from now servers will still be full. Hell, might as well unsub and come back in a year or so, maybe they might have this figured out by then.

Square-Enix was not prepared.

The game is awesome. It plays incredibly well, a much more finished product than any other mmo I've played at launch. There's no glitchy pathing, holes in the world, bugged quests/mobs - that's a testament to the production team and QA.

However - they have completely failed on the back end. Duty servers & Realm servers not capable of the load. Login servers not capable of handling a queue - You're 142 in line.... you're 135 in line... world full (or connection to server lost)

Their account management systems have been a nightmare - multiple account creation pages - from the actual SE site, to the SE Store Site, to the Forums to the mogstation - codes and email delays -

This isn't the customer's doing. You can't write this off as a result of their product being too popular.

It's simply a failure in preparation.

Thank you for phrasing this better than I was going to. People on here are calling upset people like me "Entitled". I can only speak for myself but I preordered EW, I took time off work to be home this week (i'm a trucker) to play and the reason I cannot play is because I CAN'T GET THROUGH THE 5K+ QUE because the server keeps disconnecting me. I did get in for 20 whole minutes this morning only to be disconnected by the server again. Entitled? Nah, i'm just a regular dude that believes that when you pay for something then you should get it. All launches have problems but THEY KNEW THIS WAS COMING and did nothing to prevent it. That is not right and it is what it is.

i hate that i remember this thread from 2013

whenever someone makes the "they didnt expect it" argument just link this thread from 9 years ago.

You know what would happen if they removed the restrictions? The servers would go haywire, and then NO ONE would play, just like BEFORE they implemented the restrictions.

The problem is the lack of measures for the queues. There should be some grace periods if you DC or get a queue error.
