What makes this communication so useless is the fact that they offer no real information and simply apologize every 5 hours. I have seen too many apologies in the last 24 hours to feel good about this launch anymore.

The fact that the servers are up, but no one can create characters, or even log in with existing characters is what is pissing me off. Its not like the pre order numbers were a mystery.

^ I agree, those of us that have pre ordered have a right to be able to play, its what we were promised. Instead a bunch of clowns sitting AFK indefinitely in the servers causing no one else being able to play along with super low limits on how many people can log on at once, its getting a little bit tiresome.

To me, their fail is entirely based around not having server queues/server queues breaking.

I was put at #14 in a queue earlier today, and jumped for joy! Only for it minutes later to be overridden with "server is full, try again later." Since that, that's all I've gotten, no queues at all.

If the game had (working) queues, it would be like the swtor launch 2 years ago - sure, everyone would still be complaining, but at least they would be able to see that they're in a queue with 500 people ahead of them, I'll come back later and check. Currently, you basically just have to repeatedly try and hope you're trying the second after someone else logged off.

I'm basically at the point where I think they should shutdown and restart the servers every 2 hours, that way everyone has an equal shot at getting sine playtime in.

While a queue system would be really nice, right now since the servers are limited it would be absolutely useless. They should just bring down the servers for the night and possibly the day tomorrow and work on fixing the issues at hand.

I and I'm sure a lot of people have high hopes for this game. I WANT to play it, I WANT to have fun with my friends but constantly being given the shaft isn't helping and making people contemplate a refund/cancelling pre-orders.

Right now we can only hope that the "fix" the issues in time for launch but the way things are going right now, its doubtful, they've clearly underestimated the amount of EU/US players that would play.

Then you realize WoW is about a decade years old.
You woulda thought things have changed by then.
I just wish SE gave you more updates every now and then, waitin x amount of hours does nothing

WoW is the worst comparison because it was the first of its kind. and it was 12 years ago at least. How about mentioning Neverwinter, or RIFT, those managed to get launch off to a good start. Yes. every MMO has its problems. That is true. There has not been a single MMO that I know of that has not has issues but at least they should have launch a good way. after how many months of BETA?

I also think the error were if your game crashes you can't log in because your still logged in is a huge problem. My game crashed, I got kicked and couldn't log in for 3+ hours. My character was probably stood there taking up space preventing people and I bet my character wasn't the only one. If they had a 20/30 minute idle auto-boot system the servers wouldn't be as bad and then they could just queue people to get them in.

EDIT: Or take a leaf from GW2. When people were queuing for a full server they got put in an overflow server so they could still play, and would get put into their designated server when they came up in the queue.

A lot of peoples got theirs shipped already including me.
I hate the shit the game pulls but it's a damn fun game so I'm not backing out. Just frustrated.

Well, hopefully in about an hour and a half, we will be done with the 2002 / 1707 errors.

I'm still waiting for the Error Code: ID10T for those that purposefully do something they shouldn't.
