I would rather then reschedule and have a almost perfect launch, can have some issues, but to launch like this would just be a slap to the community. Wonder if they would lose more player base by suspending the launch date or going ahead how it is. Games never recover how a developer would like if the launch is a fail.

Problem is there's no way to base how popular or not an MMO will be, nor will they always be able to account for spikes in server activity which comes with launches, after maintainence, etc. Even if they bought extra servers, bandwidth, w/e there will always be some bottleneck along the line that can't be helped, and knowing the trend of most MMO's the playerbase will probably drop by a third by the end of the month and server congestion will probably naturally die down because not everyones going to try and log in at the same point and time.
Now, major thing about the JP and the NA servers is the JP playerbase/population is much smaller than NA's, and at the same time NA is also taking on Europe's population too. So for every 1 JP player there's probably 10 NA/EU's in comparison so it's pretty obvious why our servers are just plain overpopulated in the first place. -

If IGN has these problems tomorrow when they live stream, that's it - game over. IGN might be a joke of a reporting website, but if they can't log in due to these errors, SE might as well fold it up then.
If by some amazing chance they add capacity and increase the ability of the duty finder to meet needs by that time? 12 Hours from now? Probably going to be a great response. -

If people were a little bit patient and not all trying to log in a rush at the same time, it would be just fine. Seriously, people were getting tons of snacks in advance to no life it for days, getting up in the middle of the night to be there at start, all of you, you are to blame too, not just SE. Those who keeps their toon loged 24/7 are making MMOs launchs, the mess that they are.
But SE, they needed a lot more servers and better indications of the capacity they have so people can more easily find a server that it not almost full. SE handled the login processes poorly. Servers getting to max capacity should go by waves of 1000 people or something like this. As soon as it gets to 1000, you lock it for 30 minutes. This way, it could give people the chance to get together.
Anyway, all they had to do is put the lock at 4k if the server max is 5k and give the players a npc that create a friend code to those on the server to invite theirs friends/family, just like in XI. -

we all know ARR is a great game, the problem is nobody cares if they cant play it. you think reviewers are going to try to log in come release day and say well i couldnt play the game but im sure its great, 5/5. no their gonna review the game as, this game isnt worth the time, i couldnt even play, this is just as bad as 1.0
and most people will take that and not even try the game, and after its second try at a release, thats it for everyone. those who stick with it like those of us posting on the forums is all well and good, but they cant suffer the loss of all those who wont stick through it after 2 failed launches. we have been saying this in beta, they need to make sure this time is amazing, and by all means the game is amazing, but if first impressions are alot of fustration and cant even play the game then alot of people are done.
i think if they need to push back release to make sure its great then fine.
if they dont fix this congestion the game WILL stabalize over time. because they lose all those players. -
