Same thing happened to me, I was zoning from the lower to upper decks in Limsa and I got 90000 during the zone. After attempting to log back in I got the server is full [error 1017] I decided to reset my PS3 after receiving the 1017 and as I come back to the server selection I'm getting "Unable to update NA/EU Character List"
I bet sqex is annoyingly frustrated with whoever is hosting the NA/EU servers because it seems like most of the issues are coming from them. While as far as I'm aware the JP servers haven't been having nearly as many issues.

Additional bug: ever since the first maintenance today, my linkshell chat was unavailable and my friend list had nobody on it. Anyone else with this issue too?

Was crossing the boundary from Western to Central Thanalan when I was disconnected with Error 90000.
Couldn't update NA/EU servers after.
