um... this is probably the stupidest reply ive read in a while. What does add on support have to do with SQUARE ENIX providing options to configure the user interface? FFXI had different options for window appearance, there's no reason why FFXIV shouldn't (which I believe was part of the point of this thread).

In short, we don't need add on support to have interface options. The core UI should be robust enough to not need add-ons in the first place- them being for people who want to go beyond that to customize. I don't think something as basic as tinting the windows a different color has to be something invented by the community.

The picture I posted before is just the default UI on a different color. Yoshi said in some of many interviews after Gamescom that it would be possible to change the color of it.
