Why is everyone just jumping around in the alpha footage?

the game works fine being able to jump so i don't see why we don't need it

seriously though can everyone just stop fucking crying for five hours max? not even a full day. just a few hours. can you do that?

you people are the most insufferable lot of players i've ever had the misfortune of encountering. it's like you have some version of tourettes where you get random ticks of bitching and crying and moaning instead of cursing

lol did anyone get command and conquer nostalgia watching the live letter from all the players hp bars flickering or just me? '-'

ok, I am jump hater,
I saw the live and the alpha testers are simply jumping around like those grasshoppers in WoW....
all that stupid.... God I hate that.

It isn't surprised that many people jump around in the live letter. The chance is good that they known that they are now in the live video. And what do people if they see a live camera? They try to get the attention of the audience. The jumping was only a medium to get attention. If there was no jumping, they would have used something else.

My only problem for now is only the high of the jumping, but that can be adjusted later.

It's the novelty, of course everyone is going to be jumping at Alpha/Beta/launch of 2.0. Then people will tone it down because they will get tired of it.

One does not simply get tired of spamming jump and the same goes for complaining.

Because that's what happens when you allow unrestricted jumping in a MMORPG.

You can thank those that demanded it over and over.

I, for one, opposed it since the start, and now I get to say "I told you so".

It's bittersweet.

EDIT: Don't you worry - much like goobbues mounts, the novelty will wear off eventually and you'll only see it en mass when people get into big groups to be goofy. We don't need to limit it so we can leap up one ledge and then just stand around waiting to leap up the next one. It's this type of being afraid that social norms will never settle in that made it so FAVORS was replaced with REQUIRED and now I can't wear all my town gear together anymore (which I'm still bitter about).

It was already debated to death as well.
If only the future could be made of people tolerant to each other and let each and everyone enjoy how they like to play.
We need less walls, both physically and mentally.
