The previous engine was in development for at least three years, So i would expect that the new one was in development fairly early.

I'm also as excited for 2.0 as much as everyone else, I just expect the best quality from Square Enix and as of this moment I'm not seeing it. If zones give us richer and more vibrant environments i'm all for it! :)
We all have different preferences, and for me that's nice fluid animations. Some people might be disappointed at other things. it's all good.

I really loved the video and the new looks of Gridania, and I also think that it will get even better later.

Just, I don't understand why people must say "troll" every time someone points out something he does not like.

I am Italian and this attitude reminds me of our well known ex-prime minister calling "communist" everyone not agreeing with him lol

If you noticed... I never quoted anyone while posting my "Don't feed the Troll" pic. It was simply a forewarning for folks because I'm ~98.9% positive that the "Trolls" will chime in to this thread.

Same reason most men find fat women unattractive yet there's men out there who find fat women very attractive, you don't have to understand it.

Aside from the uninspired generic feel of the music, it does look a bit too bright which could be due to the lightning not being optimized yet.
