Hate to break it to you, but this has been a much longer wait than just a quarter delay. They've been working on this ---- for 2 YEARS+

Nope, it was confirmed they pulled teams to work on ARR which in that statement iirc, pushed back a lot of projects by 2 years.
To put it bluntly, a new MMO will attract a lot of people, even if there's negative air around "Final Fantasy XIV" so the small playerbase left that leaves won't really matter much to them compared to topping off servers with fresh blood, it'd be like we almost didn't exist in that situation.Quote:
I'll probably be looking elsewhere for a new game. And I know I'm not the only one that would be going that route.
Confirmed multiple times PS3 and PC will be simultaneous releases.
Very good point, it could be that the PS3 version is running behind schedule since they need to downgrade a lot of stuff. I don't even think the alpha PS3 version has even started now has it? Seeing as the VS game is a PS3 release they might've been moved to the development team for the PS3 version of ARR. In any case as long as the entire game isn't delayed until then it's still good.
2.0 is likely to loosely follow the same schedule as 1.0 alpha/beta/release.
We know open beta starts in Jan 2013, so how long was it from the start of beta until release for 1.0? That's going to give you a rough estimate. I don't think it was 6 months, it was 1 month, maybe 2?
I agree maybe July for PS3 version.
That's not even realistic. Most people here should know better before believing this kind of hogwash from sources that have no credibility.
It makes some amount of sense ... but on the other hand, i'm sceptical.
Yoshi has already confirmed a 1 month Alpha? 4 phases of one week each correct?
That would still leave 8 months of potential Beta time.
It seems LONG. ... but maybe not... i dunno.
I'm not going to believe anything until SE says it. No point o.O
