Dude you don't gather them from the ground in their pots already. u are a gatherer you have tools with you which include pots for you to store items u gather in them...

You gather it from the ground > Store it in the empty pot > you store the pot with the dye in your backpack..

I feel that this topic is better suited in the Localization forums, rather than the mess of air-headed bubbles the General Discussion forums have become.
