I wish they didn't merged Archer and Bard. Currently the bards buffs are so bland and with only 3 songs. I want to see more songs with new abilities. Not to be some second rate DD.

but well conjurer and thaumaturge getting new spell animations in a total so i hope that bard receives new song animations.. right now its nothing more like a spell animation.

And do not forgot.. what had a bard to do in FF11 besides buffing? mostly nothing than casting some gimp heals from time to time.. or going afk.
well maybe SE is adding a second job later on which specifies the ranger in its bow abillities.
its good, that a bard in FF14 has more to do than just buffing.
what i also think that needs to be changed is, that bard gets bow auto-hit attacks... in my opinion it makes no sense to auto-attack with your bare hands.. -
