i'm not sure whether i'd classify it as fun or sickening lol. to sit back now and look at how much gil i just threw away in over 600 pieces of hq gear and probably 100-150 double melds to get 15 triple melds and another 10 or so double melds total kinda makes me look back and wonder whether it was worth it or not.Quote:

I empathize with the people who choose to blow all their money up rather than blow all their money and need a lot of room for materia. Personally, I sell all my materia and buy melded items, the markup from the seller is typically worth the certainty especially when sellers get desperate to sell a triple meld to recover investment. Since we already have a separate inventory for crystals, clusters, and shards, and we already have separate key items and GC seals and etc it would make sense to have a separate bag for materia.
But the comment was initially made about losing inventory space. We're gaining 25 slots on each retainer's inventory (150 -> 175). We're gaining 10 slots in each retainer's bazaar. We're losing our bazaar. That's a net increase of 60 slots.
We're also gaining however many slots on our character greater than 100 in which we have gear currently stored. For example, I have about 140 slots of gear I carry, and 60 slots left for everything else. When I put most of my 140 items into gear sets, I'm going to gain about 40 slots for everything else, like food, meds, gear I haven't SB'd yet today, materia I have created today, and etc... So in my case I gain about 100 slots in ARR compared to 1.0. -
