If you were studied up enough on medical books, then yes you could give advice.

Everything in XIV and most MMOs comes down to math. If you understand the formulas and principles behind stats, you can give advice to anyone before you've even played the game. If you think otherwise, you're sorely mistaken.

By that token, you can play Beethovens songs on the piano because you've totally read all about reading music scores and how the piano works and have read how to position your fingers and you've really really studied hard about it!

I'm sorry, but knowledge, although powerful, cannot completely replace experience. knowledge may help you understand the world, but to fully understand something, you must actually interact with it first to put said knowledge into context. Without that context to frame your knowledge, it's as useful as a boat is for transportation on land. (and no, it's not a hoverboat.)
