Eh-or-zee-ah here, idc if its wrong :p
i'm gonna go with the e or zee ah (whole kinda eeyore thing but then again I like eeyore.... don't mind me....)
Hah. It's hilarious that everyone has different pronunciations of the place. The PR Rep, David Yang, threw me off too when I heard it.
I say it in my mind as "Ee-yor-zee", personally. Then again, the word's hard to say in normal conversation... though it's such a queer word to say, I actually haven't ever used it in a conversation...
"Or-Za" /10char
"eh-OR-zeh-ah"
Orz when I first started playing >.>
According to that SE presenter at pax, its AIR-UH-ZEE-UH.
I don't even try to pronounce it. It's almost like they smacked the keyboard a few times until they came across a combination of letters that someone in some country somewhere might be able to pronounce. Just not any of the ones we're in common contact with.
The same can be said for almost every other term in the game. Some of these words it's like they scoured an olde-english thesaurus for the most obscure terminology that also happen to be nearly impossible to pronounce. I'm a native English speaker with a decent vocabulary. It's not amazing, I don't know every word in the dictionary, but it gets me through War & Peace without needing a dictionary. But damned if I didn't have to look Pugilist up to figure out wtf it is. I still don't know how to pronounce it.
Someone shoulda told these people that, for the English version, after a word has been out of circulation for a few thousand years it's probably best not to dig it back up, and you should try and avoid any name with more vowels than consonants. We can't handle that sh*t.
