Thank you, there could be many quests that could be investigation quests in the world, stuff like that. Npc that needs help, random stuff that you don't seek out for.

I suppose generally speaking, it is a bit circular because eventually, EVERYTHING will find its way to fan sites ... so with regards to that, i see where the trolls are coming from. I think you have an excellent idea here that ... so the best of my recollection ... has never been mentioned. Everything shouldn't be plain as day to passers by. Everything WILL be on fan sites eventually, but even that when there is enough content requires some looking, especially for smaller ticket items. I really hope there are will hidden items in ARR. I really do. That's the same shit that spurred years of rumours around FFVI concerning the paladin gear. So if anything, there should be a history to it .. and yes, people will dat mine, but i'd be very appreciative to at least see some effort go into 'hidden gems'.

Except nothing will be a 'surprise' or a 'secret' the very instant ANYONE finds it. Then they will plaster it all over every fansite and in the official forums. In fact, most people will not bother to hunt down the 'secrets' they'll merely wait for someone else to tell them where it is.

Yes that is true, so what? At least SE made an effort on something cool. Besides there are people like me that hardly go to the wikis.

I think the idea to have (!) showing you the way to your next quest is a good direction for ARR, but i agree that their should be hidden content. For example the most recent lore article about the wandering mistral, if you read it till the end it hinted that you could be arrested along with the Wandering mistral. So i checked it out and i was arrested (F*** the Police) got to talk to the wandering mistral and get out of jail free. I mean i got nothing for it, and was pretty much pointless but was fun none the less. I would love to see more hidden content like that in ARR, maybe a way to read the newspaper in game! maybe? no?

I get your point but "some will, some wont." Yoshida is already planning on bringing in iconic ff nostalgia. Color me yellow, like a Choco, but from what I remember in the old FF titles you would bump into quest. I think Rokien is onto something here.

By the way give Rokien a break. Sometimes his post are a little "over exaggerated"...you hear me Rokien? However he does bring up good topics every now an then. His post actually cause some activity in these dry forums.

Give us fun Easter eggs, funny side stories, something!
Not everyone likes paying attention to stories or small details, heck. Most people I know skip past reading CS just to obtain their exp/money. But, I ENJOY fun content!
