The new expansion is called Evercold

Not going to be ready in jan 2027. Far too much was wrong in dawntrail and i don't want to see a single thing of it in evercold. And doesn't the ninth kind ofneed us right now too? There is also mercydia and a proper 13th expansion.

In so far as we know, the 9th is a barren wasteland with nobody left alive except the small population in Treno. What's more, while completely wrecked by lightning aether things seem stable there for the moment. My guess is whatever is happening in the 4th is a pressing matter. As for Meracydia, we have NO idea what's going on there so it's a bit difficult to say we are needed there currently and Yoshi has already stated he knows exactly when and how he wants us to go there. The 13th though, while I agree we should be heading there to help Zero and Golbez my assumption is they are saving it for now. The 13th is nightmarish and difficult to navigate. It's likely they are giving those two "time" to work on their own and make some progress before we join them.

In my opinion, this already looks way better than Dawntrail. The only thing I liked about the DT reveal was Solution 9.
I'm just not a big fan of jungle settings. EC looks very fantasy. I like it a lot. ^w^

Well there could be others alive but i would not call it stable. The monsters will keep attacking and there could be other weapons of war to put down. Though my theory, its electrope is somehow driving the endless lightning. We do know the mercydians are extremely hostile to outsiders. I am curious about what the state its in granted it isn't pressing. But its a land of dragons and i could see tiamat looking in to it. We heard the allagans wrecked it and i'm curious to what extent and plus its hw part two. Now the 13th is an entire different realm than what we have dealt with so far. Yes travel would be difficult and voidsent will keep respawning ( i also kid of think we should use that key to put piece of the first there). But that is exactly the point. I want to see a world envloped by darkness like the first with light. Evercold better look a lot like western coerthas environment wise.

To be honest i don't think golbez is going find anyone else to help on the 13th. Someone is going to break the crystal w/e it was holding zeromus and our reflection. The dragon eyes will probably open a portal to the source and with it a proper voidsent invasion. Time is running out.

Am I the only one who got a bit of Chrono Trigger from the trailer? Floating verdant islands in the sky with a frozen wasteland surface just screams 12,000 B.C., and the bit with the robed man standing behind a robed woman gave me Magus and Schala vibes.
