Yeah it's definitely based on average clear time. Spamming trials I got about 50 points for shiva hard mode while the chrysalis was around 130. And no it doesn't go up based on whether or not it takes longer, they probably just have a flat amount based on whatever internal metrics they have.Quote:

Doesn't seem worth spamming a bunch of runs with how low the base rate is for everything except alliance raids. Better off just doing 1 each, once a day. Alliance raids you could get lucky and finish in what, 11 or 12 runs? Could be looking at over 100 normal raids without the bonus. lol

09-05-2025, 06:42 AMVeyaAkemiHigh-level Roulette is also perfectly fine, the bonus seem to be consistently 376, so if you got ~800 out of your daily roulette, over half of that will be from the instance alone, raids can be fine since even an Alex raid will give ~145 and those are like 4-5 minutes, so the time-payout benefit is still high, trials are a crapshoot though, can range from 50 to over 200, and overall seem to suffer the highest variance.Quote:

- The daily bonus is fixed per roulette.
- Each roulette nets you 700-800 aether with the daily bonus, excluding the Alliance roulette, whose base aether varies wildly because run times vary wildly.
- The amount of aether per minute in the instance is roughly 25-30, though perhaps lower for lower level content such as LotA.
Which is to say, it's feeling to me like SE set the aether numbers reasonably consistently across the roulettes, except for taking into account the fact that LotA and Syrcus are memes at this point. (And they almost certainly ignored the wildly varying times spent waiting for a queue to pop.) -

From what I've heard the problem seems to be more about the weight of some of the duties compared to others.
Because the alliance raids take longer, they have a much higher value than the others. The Nier raids are worth up to 999 points. So the +103 makes sense in this case.
However, the ARR alliances which take 15 minutes, only reward about 350 points. Because you'ld be getting 350 + 103 opposed to say the 250 + 600 for high-end dungeons, and because almost all Alliance Roulettes end up being Crystal Tower, it's an issue. Even Stuff that takes slightly longer than Crystal Tower seems to get a lot more, Royal City got me 650, and that's a 20 minute duty. +5 minutes is 200 points better?
Although all this speaks more to the issues with Crystal Tower generally, it's a dog water duty that isn't fun. People dodge it. After everybody is done the relic stage, it's still going to be awful. -

System is fine and if RNG means it takes a few more Roulettes, who cares? At worst it takes a few more roulettes and this is all we have to do for this patch and then it's back to tomes.
While getting ARR is annoying, they should be weighted less as you can sleepwalk through them. Nier is still intense for a lot of players with your active engagement taking a lot more effort.

Sometimes I have the feeling that for some people even the slightest time investment is already too much, so everything has to be done as fast as possible no matter what or else it's bad "content". -

What people are missing is the amount is duty specific. And since Crystal Tower (which gives the lowest amount) is so common, it's going to be skewed.
