Not as if this were the only MMO game on the market. When you consider other MMOs are mostly around similar prices, and some adapting f2p models, then there isn’t really an excuse for SE to raise the subscription price.

Damn, this would be the most unpopular suggestion here except for the idea of a paid battle pass.
We already paid so much, even for the entry sub, new expansions, extra retainers, companion app, $400 fragile statues/emotes, and monthly new cash shop items.
They should increase the monthly fee. Not because of global economic whatever, but because it would be very funny. Btw, thanks for the free weekend Yoshida but i'm still not buying DT or resubbing. I WILL post on the forums though!
*fortnight flosses on the broken, unused LoV machines with my unused squadron*
To be fair, they just need to slap a price on a better version of the CC battlepass. The framework is there but i'm sure CBU3 would NEVER do that! :^D
op unironically think SE needs more money from us to provide content lol
mmm pay more for less fun boring content... No thanks.
They had a lot of money coming in shadowbringers how come we didn't see any major improvements? almost like more money wouldn't solve the issue.
SE have never raised FFXI's subscription in the over 20 years that game has been running (even when it's sub numbers dropped enough that they were consistantly closing servers down), so they won't change that either with FFXIV (also, there is a whole group of players whose subscription model states "reduced subscription for life" - aka, Legacy Campaign Members - so it's simply not going to happen).
The cost to buy the game may rise, and new items and the like on the Online Store may cost more, but subscription will always stay the same (this is incidentally why also paying for subscription with a credit or debit card instead of using a prepaid time card costs less overall - the time card can and will rise in cost to buy but the subscription rate stays the same).
