Very limited content at ARR launch :( ?

I really didn't expect them to have tons of new content for old players right at release. I actually don't expect them to have anything new but one new class / job to level and the beginning of new storyline and some quests.

Is the current player base really done with all the current content? Maybe it's just me, but I don't see everyone running around in full darklight and relic weapons.

Exactly. New players will have all the current jobs (+ summoner) and crafts / gathering classes to level, primal fights, at least two raids (CC and AV) and Hamlet Defense. Add this to the main storyline stuff and quests and it should keep people busy for a while.

If they would remove all the current content, then I might be of different opinion.

The main reason why everyone left was because of the Network Structure/ Exp System/ 11111111 ( Basic Atatck) System)/ and the Horrid lag. If the game was " Playable", then they would have probably played longer ( but there was no end game though so if they did get any in by the time people were starting to get 50's, then it fails.

They do need end game content at start of some sort... but the game needs to be playable, after that they can build upon that "Playable" foundation.

little regret but I know I'll be busy with new battle system, try all the limit break, visit new world and do new mission for months... so I can wait a month or two

The new engine, UI, and the "quest leveling system" might be something to hold people over for a short time, but they need to add all the other stuff soon. This game already put a bad taste in peoples mouth so they really need "impress". I for one will not hope for much at the start so it will not be much of a let down if it tanks.

Totaly agree with the OP. Its Extremely important these features are in the game before release especialy the free companies and endgame/new player content. Its not gonna be good enough to release this half finished, not this time. Games reviewers will fking slaughter this game if its released half-assed again.

Reviewers Only usually play the Starter areas ( maybe mid level) and give there review on it. ( at least that's what I saw in 1.0).

Why do so many people assume that:

a) they know more/better than SE
b) that SE doesn't know what they're doing
c) that not having the game 100% or entirely perfect at relaunch is death?

Just the very fact that this game has survived is pretty damn impressive. Also, the fact that this game outlasted Aion, SWTOR and Rift is a further testament that SE is pretty good at this stuff.

You mean to tell me, after 2 Full Years! No raids will be at Release ?!? Wait What ? No PVP probably ? Wait what ? So the majority of the features that made 2.0 will not be on 2.0 at release.... Yup Sounds legit.

Because SE acts like they are amateurs.... Unless you dint witness 1.0.... You know that game that bombed hard... even when they had all the feedback they needed to prevent it... You know it could be that.

What makes you think SE knows better when it comes to MMO'S ?

Well.. if you all haven't noticed... 550k @ level 50...... man when they raise cap.. there's going to be 1 million tnl till like 65 or something :P.

There will be plenty to do for the low-end content, and if they time it right, they can have the end-game content Launched just when people are starting to reach level 50 ( make an announcement 1 month before the expected time frame).
