should make all mogstation/store stuff tradable while at it
Just go ahead. Cant wait for the outcry afterwards from some Raiders that they cant afford their day one crafter gear, food and pots cause they couldnt sell shit on the mb.
Absolutely everyone disagreeing with this idea is acting like i'm asking TO REMOVE THE ALREADY MARKETABLE ITEMS AND THAT'S NOT THE CASE
i'm simply asking fore MORE rewards and for them to be market prohibited so nothing change except that the people doing the content have more unique stuff
thanks,
bye now
I'm also talking about rewarding the people doing the said content, also what are you doing on the game then?
Also why you, doing no content, would be the base for the reward system? Isn't it a bit selfish? Like, I don't mind the already massive amount of existing marketable items and you can be free to enjoy them, i'm just asking for more rewards for the people that are doing the contents, that's all.
Loots from OC should've provided that market. The loots were supposed to be rare, and if they did get dropped, they would have cost millions of gils on the market. It should have allowed players to do the content and be rewarded. With how messy loot was, however, it didn't offer that opportunity to the market boards.
Rewards from content being marketboard prohibited mean that the content is doomed to be fomo.
Example- If chaotic mounts and hairstyles were sellable on the marketboard, you would never ever ever ever ever, see parties for it anymore. Even for people like me, who absolutely enjoyed the content (farmed the hair style 3 times and the mount twice).
What chaotic does well is that is has both a marketboard prohibited mount, and a sellable one. Theres also a super rare minion that you can only get as a loot drop, which is sellable on the marketboard and acts as a chase treasure for people who want to run up on CoD nonstop.
The rarer the item, the more gils it would have to compensate. So, if you put a very high price, only very few people would ever purchase it. That means the majority of players would still prefer to grind it from the content instead of buying it from markets. I don't think it would diminish the content, but it just provides an avenue for those who have a lot of gils to spare.
That's the whole idea
You leave it has it is already but you create a shop for extreme (totem is currency), savage (books is currency), chaotic (already one but you add items with same currency) and you put market prohibited emotes and glams in there so people doing these can enjoy some unique stuff not buyable in the market
you'd be able to keep farming your sellable haircuts and mounts but you'd also be able to enjoy some unique rewards!
This isn't really a response to what I'm saying though?
Yes the person selling it has to engage with marketboard economics, that has no impact on the fact that multiplayer content with rewards that can be market-boarded has a higher shelf life than content that doesn't.
In content without sell-able rewards. once the initial wave of people get their rewards, they stop populating the content and that effect ripples down until Johnny MSQ who started in dawntrail gets to the content 1 patch late, and can't find any parties to do it with.
Want an example? Look at any non-current savage tier. It's the content with the absolute highest engagement when its current, but once the rewards lose ilvl relevance its instantly dead content.
