It's SE that's causing these expectations, though.

Let's look at what Yoshida said in a producer's letter back in May:

They're the ones using the big words, not us.

While there have been a good amount of interviews released, there hasn't really been much new info. Certainly not anything that would qualify for a "flood of new material" anyway.

Again, Yoshida letter in July 23:

"Between the site’s kickoff, gamescom 2012 in August, and the FINAL FANTASY 25th anniversary event, we’ll be releasing a flood of info."

Well, I think we all can agree that the flood has yet to occur, so they have about two weeks left. Hopefully we'll see tons of new info within those two weeks, but I have a feeling that their definition of flood is different than ours.

The flood is in Germany. :C
