Job design and balance is also one of the last things they work on.

I remember back before shb released yoshi p said healers were in an unbalanced state and they were going to homogenize them as a baseline and expand them out in the expansion after that. I don't believe anything that man says anymore. Too many lies to believe. I also only resubbed recently for occult crescent and was sorely disappointed. Back before ARR was released yoshi p said in an interview that one of the biggest problems was 1.0 prioritized graphics over gameplay. Which is exactly where we are now where everything looks gorgeous but the content itself is hollow as can be. I honestly have 0 faith in SE. I just hope they don't fail so blizzard still has a reason to improve and be competitive.
My prediction for job stuff is that a lot of skills will be shuffled around, and some amount of consolidation so that jobs feel 'complete,' and play similarly to how they do now at 100, at level 50. That way from level 50 to 100 can be all new ideas. I think they will, and should pull some of the mechanical ideas from PVP, and Phantom Jobs into regular PVE.
Still unsure if we go to level 110 or if there will be any new systems that give the feeling of job customization.
Don't worry! SCH could be getting changes soon considering it likely has to be played by Sphene in the next dungeon.
Word. I wish support jobs had a way to be a bit stronger on solo and even on Light Parties.
As a Dancer... give me a "Closed Position: Solo" that gives me a bigger personal buff to make up for the lack of the dps outsourced to the dance partner.
I like to play the job on solo content, like Deep Dungeons or OC gold farming solo, but knowing that I'm just sabotaging myself by using it and not something like a SAM, PCT or even MCH is kinda meh.
No update.. not enough funds like YoshyP stated
Unfortunately, it'll be the same situation as Forked Tower, 7.0 Pictomancer, or the new blacklist. Disastrous, easily avoidable. But the disconnection and lack of communication with XIV's community will ensure it happens.
The good news is that they'll likely play super safe and lobotomize the jobs even more, which is not going to require spending XIV's "limited" resources to fix everything and delay other content, like in 7.3. We've reached such a low point in Dawntrail that there is an upside to it.
I'm hoping they deliver and make jobs fun again in 8.0 but every patch of Dawntrail doubling down on making them all even more mindless doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence.
