Edit: The Server im on has 28 free plots with 26 being in Ishgard and only 1 in Limsa and LB. All small. Meanwhile your server has at least 100 if not more free plots. I didnt bother counting since i cant enter Ishgard and Kugane on a lvl 50 character anyway.
Lich is one of the least if not the least popular World on my DC. The situtation on worlds like Odin,Shiva or Phoenix is much worse.

I mentioned different servers, this is an alt and the character is on Dynamis which is a new DC and world and which is pretty much dead and non popular due to SE's failure on DT launch (and with the DC in general)

idk man .. limsa didnt seem that dead the moment I went over from aether to dynamis to check the plots considering its like 6 in the morning for you guys. Plots exist in your region. The problem is the mindset of the playerbase wanting to be on the biggest dc on the most popular world and not the demolitiontimer. The transfer to dynamis from all aether worlds and most primal worlds are free of charge atm. Noone stops you if you really want a house.

Instead of reactivating auto-demolition, they should finally make housing instanced. It's long, long, loooong overdue.
This would be a win-win for both those who don't have a house yet but would like to have one, and the people who are being held hostage by the timer.
But of course, this has been requested time and time again for years, and nothing has happened yet. Just like hats for Viera/Hrothgar, it might never happen. Sooo..yeah...

Personally, I don't really care about the timer. I'm quite content with my apartment for now. /shrug

Mao appreciates kind words from Jessa. Mao can no longer play game though. Mao is old and has Parkinson's Disease. DDR-style boss fights whats used in trials, dungeons and raids, has gotten too fast for Mao to be able to handle. Mao can no longer do thems. Also, boss fights becomings pretty borings for Mao. Is very 2-dimensional and is even shaping job design in ways whats Mao nots like. Mao also no longer willing to put up with lack of contents with regards to world contents. Mao finding that borings too. Mao has moved on to WoW and finds WoW to be much more doable and funs for Mao. Mao hopings that peoples whats stay with FFXIV will still has much funs playing it. FFXIV left Mao in dust though and Mao can no longer has funs with it.

Agreed. Ward housing pretty much requires auto-demo, because otherwise new plots would never open up outside of new districts being added! Which is why it came about in the first place: players demanded it.

Instanced could be added in addition to the wards, guaranteeing everyone a housing plot that would never need to be taken away, while allowing those who still prefer the ward system to continue with the lottery game. Other MMOs that are older than XIV have had instanced housing, allowing the collection of multiple properties with greater variety, without even requiring a subscription, to nip that argument in the bud.

And as we got a taste of with Island Sanctuary, instanced offers features that aren’t possible in the wards, like a much higher outdoor item placement limit, the furniture glamour system, being able to change the ground/landscape elements independently of the buildings, and open air buildings. If the cabin had been an actual housing plot instead of the mammet base of operations, it could have been a real alternative to ward housing. It would be nice if they learned from that and gave some kind of instanced housing out of Cosmic Exploration…

What they need to do is give us instanced housing.

Just wait for WoW housing to come online. I foresee many new plots opening up in FF14 once that happens.
