... well, in all seriousness with regards to the topic, I really hope they continue to develop this further and have more dreams with scenes and stuff that occur at random, not just the preset ones that only occur under a certain condition.

Very glad to see new players enjoying themselves.
The only issue you'll have is the trek from 25-40. There is tons of post 40 things to do, and lots early on that can get you leveled, but 25-40 is the tricky spot. It's where you'll learn to host your own groups though as a new player, and recruit help from the community.

XIV's community is pretty good, the forums don't always do it justice.

My one recommendation is to try and see the Grand Company 7th Umbral Era storyline. The main story can mostly be skipped if you're looking for time savers, as it is being re-used/re-imagined for 2.0. The current GC storyline however will disappear forever once 1.xx goes offline.

A damn shame too, it turned out to be quite good.

ahhh come on. There was a person in my ls that hadn't logged out throught their bed yet even though they were fifty, they saw the dream sequence and were pretty stoked. its really pretty cool...
