Please implement some baseline MMO features in 8.0

I wish I could get money for parroting these old tired defense lines for SE's old, dated and lazy design with a lack of innovation.
It would be the easiest job ever.

They don't have time and resources :(
It was designed like this on purpose, if you don't like it, play other games :(
It has always been like this, people don't like change or options, or different angles to tackle the game :(
People with 45 wives and 22 dogs, and 50 children and 10 000 jobs can't engage in more than 10 minutes per day, so the content is kept very minimal :(
Please look forward to it :(
If they add QoL, people would be confused and angry :(
If they add Viera hats or more features, they would have to delete dungeons or some other features :(


Dudes and dudettes, just look at todays update. They have to take a WEEEEEEK to fix a single botched line of japanese dialogue entering the EN version. A WEEEEEK.

Re: Dancer

IMHO, dancer is like my...4th main job? So not REALLY main. If I played dancer more, I think I would get muscle memory of where the red/blue/yellow/green abilities are on my hot bar without having to look. Is that true for dancer mains?

Assuming it is, a small QoL would be to simply have the colored auras around your character until you did the ability. (So glow blue = use blue ability, then your aura turns yellow or whatever)

It's not too hard, but having to glance at my Simon-Says hotbars and dodge can be daunting. And yes, it's a skill issue for me, thus the top "muscle memory" question.

The dancer thing feels comparable to Warrior still not having a Storm's Eye timer on their gauge. Not sure why people are so against it. There is a reason more and more jobs are getting additional information on their gauges. Looking at your hotbar and buffs constantly is annoying. This type of change is not even off the table considering they make changes to the UI for other jobs almost every expansion.

Personally I'd like Dancer procs to be more visually clear as well. Sure I can look at a bar and it feels okay, but it would feel even better if I could have a better indicator for it than just the glowy hotbar icon.

Lets see that Cutting Edge and Mythic raiding status before nerfs if addons trivialize combat so much

Addons also just add a ton of customization and help disabled people. FFXIV lacks even the most basic support for the latter.
