Being in a discord at least guarantees that this person who joined is somewhat motivated to learn and people are okay with others making mistakes. Yes, mistakes will be pointed out and it has to be. People need to keep an eye on their alliance members and help them not yolo it because that's how wipes happen. 2 people adjust to each other and end up dying or killing others which snowballs into a wipe.

This thing has more PVP than actual PVP modes in this game...

It's not at all requiring discord. Been clearing consistently since Day 2/3, constantly jumping into clear parties. You may get a wipe or two but most parties are starting to clear on PF consistently. People are exaggerating the circumstances surrounding this content.

yeah, people are getting good at it and I got a bunch of clears from different "going for kill" or farmgroups. Its not as bad as people want to make it. The mechs are easier than from sphene ex in the end. People will get used to it and clear more often

People are really exaggerating how difficult it is to clear this. I cleared day 2 and have been farming it daily now using Aurelia raidplan. No discords, no friends, not static, just me solo going into pf and doing the mechanics. Anyone who is saying "I cleared savage faster than this!" or anything of the like literally all you need to do is one thing, COMMUNICATE.

Literally you have no idea how many pfs go from swap prog wiping to clears just because you go in there and explain "This is how you handle the mechanic that we're dying to". Or you know just point them to an exact slide on the raidplan cause it literally tells you exactly what to do. Past that it's just hit your buttons and don't die.

Anyways, fight's easy, fight's fun, I can't wait for more like this in the future. First piece of content that actually made me enjoy going into pf.

The average PF go-er can barely read, nevermind communicate. I don't think they're exaggerating their own experiences, you just don't share them.

I also think people vastly exaggerate how difficult this is or how "impossible" party finder is. I genuinely had a harder time clearing Golbez EX in party finder, that had way more body checks than this does. The towers are only really down to alliances A and C, the towers in the middle are entirely free. And the main issue alliances A and C have were bad raidplans that didn't have a prio for who goes where on day one, and people being unwilling to talk it out. Maybe they could've staggered the towers out between each platform? That way there are fewer points of failure at once. But ultimately, when you look at the mechanical complexity, I think its genuinely on the easier side of extremes. Imo, much of the frustration comes down to us not really having hard content with 24 people. BA and DRS difficulty comes down to coordinating logos actions and lost actions. Give people time, and I think people will learn to do this.

I also think its easily the most creative fight we've gotten in a very long time and the most engaging tank fight in Dawntrail. I would be perfectly fine with toning difficulty down to make it more safely in the realm of extremes so long as the mechanical density and creativity stay.

This seems to be the general consens I keep reading everywhere.
The raid itself is top notch, probably the best we have gotten in quite a long time and it would be sad to see it be gone.
The difficulty just needs to be turned down and by that I think we all mean not the mechanics but just how punishing they are for 24 people.

Imo it's just towers and swaps that are the problem.
The first could be absolved in just turning down the number of players required so that a dead player in a A and c doesn't mean instand nuke of that tower.
The later I don't really have a good idea.
Maybe swap the entire party or (what i would have prefered) not a repeat of towers and swaps after that but something that is more on the individual line like maybe everyone gets an add tethered to them they have to kill (dps), healers to heal (hello Shinryu Ex) and tanks to mitigate a heavy tankbuster.
But in the end it's up to the devs how they respond to the feedback.

The only two things in your post I disagree is people exaggerating. This is just our experience and at least for me PF is hell in this.
The other is (more on a personal note) Golbez. As someone who did that one blind it was really not bad. It had harder body checks but was far more on rails and you only your own partner the entire time. That fight was completely on rails and while I love it I have to say it was easier to do in PF than chaotic.
But maybe that just shows how much we all are influenced by personal experiences in our opinions.

I don't think ppl are saying the fight is hard from a mechanic standpoint. It's hard because you dealing with a fight that has 3x more ppl than normal ex or savage level of content. With 24 ppl you have a much larger odds of someone making a mistake and if that mistake happens to be in the phase with the body checks then you looking at a full raid wipe. Personally, I'm of the opinion that large-scale raids like CAR shouldn't have body checks, and if they do make them not be as punishing as a nuke going off. One way you do this is if someone or someones miss a tower, the tower doesnt explore for a long amount of damage but puts a dot on everyone or puts a few vunl stacks. That way if a few ppl make a mistake or a few are dead doing towers it doesn't mean a raid-wide wipe.

I agree that there shouldn't be hard body checks, but there is leniency with the towers. One tower missed is basically unnoticeable, two hurts but is fine, three is where it gets dicey if you don't have any mitigation up. I do think making it do a bleed or something rather than a big chunk of up front damage would make it more bearable, especially during prog where you're likely to miss a couple.
