SE is still hiding Versus from us -_- wish they would release some new info on that game, they've only been working on it for 6-7 years now.

Some great comments. Trying to be realistic with my expectations. Totally new engine, revamped client and server architecture, And we are expecting it to be like they have had 5 more years instead of the 2 (if that) that they have had with Yoshi leading. I NEED a new interface, and terrific targeting. Without that, there is not a lot that I will believe from their mouths. I am hopeful as a returning player and I did prepay for 3 months for legacy. If they fail to fix the most egregious issues then, I will be disappointed and lose hope.
For now, I am optimistic.
I think its best to keep expectations low so when its good, its great. Its how i approach SE games.
I think it's best to keep expectations high! so when it's good it's AWESOME and you flail in enthusiasm :D
It's how I approach FFXIV. Other SE games, meh. lol
Lol, and that's the reason why I think 2.0 will fail as well no matter how much hard work will be put in.
People need to stop hyping everything to death and start having realistic expectations.
I expect some decent gameplay, that's all.
Not even ONE extremely hyped game has ever delivered, because with all the hype even really good games just CAN'T live up to the skyrocketing expectations (FFXIV 1.0, SWTOR, Tera, Diablo III, etc.)
It's always "Hm, I enjoy it, sure..but I expected more, I think I might quit soon, it just doesn't live up to my expectations."
Yeah well how could it if people expect heaven on earth..?!
I just hope FFXIV ARR will have enough players with realistic expectations to keep this game going, because all the over-hyped people will surely leave if they aren't getting an orgasm the second they log in for the first time.
I agree, but I still think hype has its place too. a team might suck hardcore and have a terrible record and logically it doesn't look like they're going to win, but come game time you can bet their fans in the stadium are going to be hyped, regardless of the realistic expectation of loss. just saying lol
But that is not healthy. Keeping low expectation for a game, you might be pleased with something that is mediocre. Remember what Zack FAir said, "Unattainable expectations are the best kind".
Anyway, I'm not saying we should have high expectation, but at least normal expectation for a game coming out in 2013.
