I'm unsubbing over the Viper changes

Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. won't change anything. They already got your money, and if people unsubscribe, they'll just write it off as being normal for after an expansion. Things in Square Enix haven't been going well for a long time and any talent from CBU3 is transferred to other projects to recuperate the company's lost revenue. Yoshida is no longer making direct decisions, which explains why BLM, MNK and VPR have received lobotomies. The MSQ is terrible and people are now getting stuck in log-in limbo because DC travel has been shut down. Hopefully a buyout is near so that the company can afford to retain some of its talent.

I'm staying subbed because I'm still having fun with the game and because NIN is one of my favorite classes from any MMO. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean I'm back on the forums and I'm not playing the game because of the eye strain issues. But I need to pay my sub to post on the forums.

They kind of make it hard to leave. You can't give feedback once you do. And you have to give them your money to do it.

Well it's the feedback forums so I want to use them for what they're for.

Just because other people don't think the feedback gets taken or read here doesn't really mean anything to me. Like, thanks for the concern about my finances, but the sub money is worth it to call out Square for me. They made the game worse for photosensitive players and I don't like that, for others and not just for me.

I'm told unsubbing will and won't do anything and they listen to everyone and also don't and every other conflicting statement baaack and forth over and over from other players so I'm kind of over these responses. I'm told I need to unsub to hurt their bottom line but that also it won't matter.

If I don't give feedback because they won't listen, or unsubscribe so I can't post, I think everyone replying to me would be bored with no one to yell "stop giving feedback! they don't listen!" at in every thread, honestly.

Like I have other plans to give feedback outside the forums but if they AREN'T reading the feedback on here, that needs to be addressed then too.

I'm not oblivious to what you're suggesting, I just think you're wasting as much time as I am. Clearly people have very little to do if they have time to tell me my feedback doesn't matter or anyone else's.

If they actually wanted to address buff/debuff limits remove it entirely or remove something actually vestigial like Circle of Scorn/Bow Shock. It was explicitly stated to be a move to streamline Viper not the debuff limit.

You're absolutely right: I'm just trying to give the most charitable translation of what I've seen. Only logical, charitable walk away I can find is that they are removing it for the debuff limit, likely in mind of internal-only information about the upcoming job changes and directions.

I know that's a weak argument, but again I'm doing my best to try to be charitable here on a decision that otherwise seems entirely senseless and ignorant.

Either way this really does come back to Class designers more than anything, I believe.
