If you wish to try, you can use skill for 'Ensures Great Success' on the different coloured orbs. You will see big difference in quality gain. Rainbow gives a lot more than White and even more than Red. It may not be written out as technical as desired to make sure there is no ambiguity, but give it a try and you will see.
