Are you kidding? My Immortal is a masterpiece. The pinnacle of comedy.

Meanwhile DT MSQ is embarrassing on every level.

I've yet to touch Dawntrail but besides Wuk Lamat, everyone seems pretty happy with the dungeons/music/art design of the expansion.

7/10 seems way too harsh. Then again, I haven't played it yet so what do I know?

The dungeon design is literally the same it has always been for over 5 years. Boss =/= dungeon.

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail is a great expansion that has a lot to offer. The graphics update is really good and the Final Fantasy music is still a masterpiece. The main story questline is okay, but unfortunately not as outstanding as players had hoped. Nevertheless, the new world of Dawntrail is worth a look for every MMO fan, as there are new dungeons, new jobs, new decorative items and much more.

After the masterful conclusion of Endwalker, Final Fantasy XIV leaves on new foundations with Dawntrail. Carried by its lighter tone and its endearing characters, it is in its second part that the adventure takes off, after a sluggish start and some less interesting passages. But more than anything, it is through its graphical update and its magnificent new areas that the experience wows us. With more exciting boss fights, two new fun jobs to play and plenty of comfort options, Dawntrail is an expansion that continues in the right direction instilled by Naoki Yoshida and his teams for over a decade. Hoping that the course is maintained in the next updates and expansions.

If you wanted more of the same ol' same ol' online Final Fantasy, this is what you'll get. But I wanted something more. If Dawntrail is to be a new chapter, a potential start of a new saga, it needed a better opening, not this boring thing. Time will tell what will become of this.

Dawntrail shoves your character so far into the background of its story you may as well not be there. That said, the vibrancy and personality of Tural is a real breath of fresh air, and the dungeon bosses have never been more satisfying to take down.

Metacritic has been known, for years, to delete negative reviews it deems as "spam".

I think 7/10 is about right. The story has some serious issues, but does get it together closer to the end and is ultimately just fine.

In my opinion it is, it left me with a bad taste, angry, disappointed and felt cheated out of 4 days, I would have skipped it all if I knew.

I dont really agree, I think dungeon design has actually went down in quality while boss design went up in quality, bosses are much more fun and have unique mechanics, while new dungeons are not as interesting, they are just long hallways to walk across, older ones where better imo.

The "Sweet Baby inc is the Devil" reviews and the "only putting 10 to counteract" are some of the most annoying and useless reviews listed there. Wish there was an easy way to filter those out for a more accurate representation. The expansion is definitely not a 0 or a 10. The way some people are acting though you'd think CBU3 stole their kidney and left em in a bathtub in a slimy motel. Some are just straight up being hateful to individuals who worked on the expansion. Opposite of that you also have people thinking CBU3 can do no wrong and are masters of game design and writing, when that is clearly not the case . It's bloody tiring.
