I would love if they kept nin away from tanking but meh. I just think its weird for a ninja to just walk through a base and grab everyones attention. Also, utsusemi(if added) should be exclusive.

If NIN wasn't a tank and was a DD it would have been played by all fail weeaboos. Kind of like most SAMs were lol.
Yeah, we need ninja, hopefully it comes equip to tank too or semi.
Ninja shouldn't be a tanker from the beginning, they are NOT a warrior type at all, they more like assassin, their job is assassinate, stalking, stealing, spy, using poison and traps and tools, cheap shot killing
if you want a japanese tanker, Samurai is the better choice, another type of warrior
their weapon are not the same type
Samurai mostly use a two-handed katana
Ninja use one-handed or both-handed
A Thm tanked and solo'd Dodore. Who are you to say a Ninja shouldn't tank? It was never intended to be a tank in 11 but it evolved into one. RDM wasn't meant to be a tank but it could do it to.
It's a video game dude.
Not a lesson in what real ninjas did in real life.
Yes please. I'm ok with ninja, but no more utsusemi, or other blink tanks :X
I'd be happy with a nin/thf combo, Assassin, And is a DD in a more trickier sense. fighting behind someone, hitting mob from different sides, tools etc. Make use of ninja stars!
Ninjas have never been tanks in Final Fantasy, they have been in XI only because of a combination of development oversight and user exploiting.
So to the ones saying "this isn't an history lesson" (which is quite a bit laughable, since the only tanks in history came quite a bit later than ninjas, are made primarily of steel and carry a turret with a cannon), I can easily respond "No, it's a Final Fantasy game", and Final Fantasy ninjas aren't tanks.
Besides, we already have plenty classes with tanking potential and tanking-related skills (Gladiator, Marauder, Pugilist). Didn't we want unique classes? because having everyone and his mother perfectly able to play tank isn't exactly something that encourages uniqueness or characterization.
i don't care either they'll be tanks again or not, or if they'll be able to cast shadows or not.
i just wanna dual wield some katanas again haha.
