I'm not dead-all set on Airships returning as they were in XI.. Something different would be nice honestly. I dunno, I do want to see Chocobo added sometime in the near future though, it's really cumbersome trying to traverse the world on foot all of the time. (And Anima is too finite a resource.. The game obviously wasn't designed with Teleporting in mind as the only means of travel, and walking is a very tedious alternative option.)

If they do make chocobo raising/breeding I hope it will be so much better and more fun than XI breeding. More customization and more fun please!!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm a bit worried about how Chocobos will be implemented. Did anyone notice how Yoshi.P commented that Chocobos in FFXIV would be implemented in a way to make them unique to FFXIV?
It seems like the majority of the community wants what we had in FFXI - Manually controlled Chocobo mounts. Something about the comment of it being implemented in it's own unique way just irks me.

I hope to see Chocobos as personal mounts, and not acquired via renting them from vendors. It would be incredible if your chocobo followed behind you when dismounted, instead of vanishing into thin air like other MMOs seem to handle the issue of "where does your mount go when you're not riding it?". Also, I really hope you can bring them into cities.

I'm at a loss too when it comes to guessing what that "new role" for chocobos will be... But for airships, we know they'll probably be released at some point, Gridania has the docking area ready (below Adv. Guild). As for the residential area, every city has one "zone out" thingy on the map that currently leads to nothing... so, who knows? :p

I agree we need a central hub city (I assume Ishgard will be that when it's released). As it is Ul'dah is the de facto hub for a couple of reasons, but a proper one would better balance the city-states. I also think there should be airships going between cities, but with the teleporting system I'm not sure how that would be implemented.
The chocobos raise a similar concern, although I think having a personal, customizable chocobo and letting you mount up anywhere outdoors to get around quickly (and unlimited uses, not the finite amount per item you get with ffxi) would be a good alternative to the instant-but-finite Anima teleports. However, the chocobo breeding should be simple enough so that everyone can get their own chocobo, so everyone has that extra attachment to the game. I think this would suit the game best, as opposed to the FFXI system where only those who are willing to make a significant time and money investment can get their own mount.

Chocobos yes Please!
This would make doing crafting leves at camps and getting from place to place so much more effective. Anima is nice and all but for anyone playing a decent amount of time it just does not last that long. And on top of that it is a Final Fantasy Staple, it would be a good start to return the FF feel to the game.

I think Yoshi-P himself has mentioned several times that they're working on both features heavily. I'd say it's a good idea to wait and see on this one... Although I'm just as anxious to have chocobos as everyone else!

I actually hate the teleportation system. As someone else said, it definately takes away from the game. I find myself constantly teleporting everywhere because running is far too lengthy.
Airships and chocobos are the main things I want to see implented in the game. The 'Jueno' can wait. Especially in the case of chocobos, however, the game is lacking.

And how about a mail sistem, for send item from others citys?.
