RP shout ads are obstructive to chat and gameplay

I wish they had their own channel I should be able to keep shout on. I have almost ran out of space from all the DJ shouts it really has become a issue. They are not doing any harm apart from the dodgy ones >.< just wish they had another channel.

Did you skip that part of the tos where people are to behave in a way that's suitable for players aged 13 and higher and not to do or say things that a reasonable person would find offensive?

Never did.

All I've said is that this stuff will happen in games regardless because people are creepy on the internet and you should teach your kid how to be safe online because she's your responsibility. I even said report it to Square if you want but unless it directly violates something they might not do much about it. Hell, they don't even do things right when it comes to actual consistent harassment in the game and stalkers. They seem more intent on punishing people who offer advice in dungeons or emote spamming tbh lol.

If you find it offensive, report it.
If you don't like it, report it.

Doesn't change the fact that you should still educate your teenager on the dangers of the internet and what to do if someone weird shows up to talk about sexual topics lol.

Yeah, that dude did extremely wrong by not even trying to ask her age (which, if you knew me, I'm pretty vocal on age of consent and knowing someone before you try to engage in sexual things with them...feel free to check out my posts if you want) and should be reported, but I also wouldn't hold my breath for Square to spring into action that second and start to child-proof their game. You should also teach her how to protect herself, you really should.

Believe me, because this is an MMO after all, and like ir not, more or less I need the chat, (can't be arsed to setup other programs and stuff to make it irrelevant, and i shouldn't need to anyway) otherwise, I would completely turn off that window, because it's nothing sort of disgusting.

Is it okay to advertise for groups that go out and kill stuff? I mean, like most adventurers do. And what most of the game has us doing.
Or might that cause little kids to get curious about killing people and go out on a murder rampage?

Okay, now you are just grossly exaggerating.

That is not happening in the game and you know it. None of the advertisements in Shout chat explicitly advertise anything of the sort. They are only ever described as +18 venues and often will drop their Carrd so you can learn more. Rarely will they even name drop "courtesans" in the Shout chat.

I won't lie most ofmy block list now a days is just people shouting ads for venues, it's tiring af to xfer to aether for rouls and then having my chat blasted into oblivion with ads for venues. Didn't a guy get suspended for spamming Holy in Limsa? Doesn't this count as the same thing?
