Leveling is pointless in the system we have now. You don't learn anything by grinding. You don't learn to party play unless you party play, and grinding in a party right now is just "let's spam all our AoE and keep ourselves healed." You don't learn how to do the dungeons or Ifrit or Garuda or Mog by doing party-grinding, either, and you don't necessarily learn all there is about your class doing anything, either.

EDIT @ Elexia: That isn't quest chaining. Guildleves have nothing to do with each other. They're a ton of separate, repeatable quests.

Main problem: It's never been done right in an MMO before, so it always negates one route. Always. SE is creative but they are trying to make this like every other MMO on the market instead of standing out.

GC quest are not top of the notch quality either, most of them are "GO to X, talk to Y, blablabla kill Z, go back to Y, go back to X"

They are basically streamlining the leveling experience to eliminate the grind to end-game. Basically you just have to play through all of the content to hit level 50.

And these 200 quests they wanna add, you really think they could put good quality in all of them?

it's not like they said "we'll removing exp camps", they just said we'll advance in levels doing content. I think exp camps will be still there as a choice
