endwalker was an unacceptable unfished product

My main complaint about EW is honestly I wish more of the zones focused around Garlemald to flesh out lore there but at the end of the day the expansion was fine and absolutely felt finished.

I still never get the complaint about Island Sanctuary. It's an alright addition to the game that adds a nice, calming thing to do. If you don't like it then might I suggest just not doing it? There are people who don't like Alliance Raids so they just do Crystal Tower than ignore the rest, there are people who don't like Diadem so they never touch it, Eureka, Bozja, hell even something like Gold Saucer I've seen people avoid it like it's the plague. Just do the content you want to do, no one is forcing you to do stuff you don't want to, all you're missing is titles, mounts and minions. There's nothing else that's really all that lost by not doing Island Sanctuary.

I miss Titan Men. At least he had more than one note.

I see. The developer's blog did come off to me as if they are putting all of their eggs in that basket. I wouldn't be surprised if it does take some toll on other projects.

No. Just like they have been adding Duty Support to dungeons in each 6.x patch. They announced this is how the graphics will be updated through 7.x patches. So that is definitely what will happen.

Not surprised at what happened from 6.1 to 6.55 as the main devs were not working on the content. The junior devs worked on this and did what they can but… yea… the content they gave us was the content level of the extreme trial series and not an MSQ series.

I really want to know what happened to the main dev team and what they were working on. While I hope it is some surprise content for 14… I’m afraid that they all ended up working in 16 to finish it and rush out it’s DLC.

2.5 years of 6.x patches… no main devs… yea, we felt it, oh did we ever…

If this is what we will get after 7.0, I think I’ll let my house of 8 years go and shutdown my sub after 10 years straight when I started at launch.

So, where are you getting your information about which developers are, or are not, working on Endwalker?

"I have a cousin, whose best friend works for a vendor of Square Enix and they told him ..." won't ensure I believe it.

"Everyone knows ...", has been spoken quite often by one of the current American presidential candidates, which pretty much ensures I won't believe it.

An article (or articles) written by someone who is not a youtube or twitch streamer would be nice.

It was a acceptable ok project to me. Not the best but it was kinda fun.

Well they have to start somewhere. Everyone says "hire more developers", but this is why I have to mention that they need training and to gain experience so it's not as simple as just hiring more. Yoshi-P gave them a chance at a main story and some main content.

If that is truly your feedback then maybe they need to improve it, but I personally felt that the Myths of the Realm story was great!

Actually, the FF16 team was disbanded before the DLC started development, leaving just a small team to develop the DLC. They don't need a big team for it because most of the game (engine, basic game features, sidequests, battle system) are all complete. Most of the FF16 team were reassigned to other projects already.

They probably reassigned many of them long before then because the game seemed nearly complete over a year prior with the sort of trailers they were showing us. They even delayed the release by a large timeframe so FF16 was probably mostly complete for a very long time.
