I have no idea what you're talking about with balance or why you're trying to steer it over to relics, and balance. I'm talking about the consistency of patches, and not making promises they can't back up.
XIV players have it good coming from someone who used to play Overwatch, where a rework would be announced for "a few months away" and then still not be complete a year later. Or, where PvE content would be announced, hyped up for 3 years, and then cancelled at the last minute because they couldn't keep up the charade with shareholders anymore.
We get told what's coming and what we get is exactly what's on the tin, which is something I can appreciate given how games are now.

Nah, Re-read what I said and don't cherry pick. XIV is OVERLY consistenet. If you're a long time player we know when it's gonna happen, how it's gonna happen, why it's gonna happen, People have literally predicted the entire story of the last two expansions and been right because the writing is toooooooooooo consistent.

Not taking leaps to change or switch it up ain;t it chief.

You're also comparing it to one game in an industry FULL of other games. We get it, Blizzard Bad, but your salt at them doesn't equate to several other companies. LMFAO

Then you're trying to go off topic, I'm not talking about any of your gripes with the story, I don't really care what your thoughts are on the "2 minute meta", or other type of content. I'm talking about the patch schedule and the devs delivering on what they promise.

Content patches are overly consistent to, the mechanics within them are too consistent if you aren't doing ultimate content. Relics count in the content cycle as well, because they literally are never consistent, they flip flop around, neither is hildabrand, or if we're getting deep dungeons. we're also not getting Island sanctuaries again? Whens the last time housing has been consistent? OH! Let's not forget how they seemingly can't find an identity for BRD or Astro! XIV is consistent in places where it's becoming extremely stagnant, and Inconsistent in places it Should be consistent. AND THATS OK. But it's not deserving of that award as the game stands rn. They can do better because they HAVE done better.

Yoshi P is purposely vague, They actively refuse to go into detail about job changes for fear of people being upset? They literally do NOT tell us WHY they make changes half the time, they just make em and tell us to play it. They refuse to hotfix major issues and we have to waait several months with job balance in most cases. The list does go on.

Man, it just sounds like you had a bone to pick with the game and decided to inject a bunch of stuff I didn't say into my post so you could rant about it.
The award is for community support through patches. It's about how consistently the game is supported and how well that content is communicated. When the other games in the category are from CDPR and Bungie, who are both serial liars with hyping up features they know they can't deliver on, and continually pushing things back because they bit off more than they can chew, then yeah, this game should probably win it. How many road maps has CDPR made and then quietly hidden whenever they can't make it? How many times has Destiny just arbitrarily pulled old content out of the game because they felt like it with little communication?

Destiny was in the same category in the Golden Joysticks which just happened, and it's another live service game.
No one said "god tier game" either, so when are you going to stop with the disengenuous posting and actually interact with my points instead of injecting something I didn't say into the topic to let you rant about what pisses you off in this game?
I even conceded that there were things wrong with this game but the patch schedule is NOT IT. The patch schedule is phenomenal compared to other live service games I have played and that are in the same category.
