You misread me, TERA and the other MMOs did not release same time as XIV,

What I am saying is XIV is trying to PUSH into the industry and INFORM EVERYONE about all its glory, the same time GW2 is releasing and will be doing it (plus WOW will be close to MOP and be also pushing).

Everyones fighting for the spot-light at the same time - same month. Read before you mistake.

Exactly, multiple companies are up to stuff (including non-major studios) so nothing will be drowned out, everyone is aware of XIV being remade and relaunched plus it's Titled Final Fantasy, no FF game flies under the radar just like that, not even 'Mystic Quest' back in the day.

Like I (and many others who play MMO) say, new MMOs have a fresh car smell, it's when it wears off (and it will) does it prove if the MMO is good or not. Remember, people kept saying Rift was the next best thing and no other MMO need to try to compete or release after it.

Even though I have little faith in 2.0 simply from a design standpoint trying to make it "standard" it's not going to be flooded out, being on the console as well also gives it another notch above WoW's expansion or a reiteration of a lobby MOG.

No new content, na version doesn't work.

2.0 isn't releasing in September... SE has the whole Winter 2012 to hype the game.

She said "SINCE LAUNCH" That means
"Ever since FFXIV launched years back, new MMOs have been released in it's stead" Nowhere did she say these mmos have been released at the same time as FFXIV (And to correct Elexia, PSO2 is the newest to be released yesterday *Technically* atm it's only in JP, but I'm currently playing it as I type)

Yeah I always forget about PSO2 because I'm still bitter over the DC dying >:l

V2.0 isnt launching in august like GW2 and it wont drown FFXIV either, i also preordered GW2 but it has pro/cons but it didnt convince me to fulltime it, ill just play it when im bored of FfXIV.

I never said she said this, even you misread me, whats going on lol

I stated in my first XIV would drown out in the media due to GW2, they both throwing themselfs out at the same time, XIV all big news, GW2 Launch, that is what i said in my first post, he then said "xiv has been getting news since launch when other mmos have released", thats great, thats been time, i am saying it wasnt at same time which would of made things worse, XIV is getting noticed because the others are not being noticed cuse not everyone is trying to get noticed at the same time...

And now XIV is trying to shout out at the same time many other games are also doing the same and I personally dont think XIV will be as noticeable as they will be because they're a lot bigger.

GW2 has all this hype and attention that even people would like to see it fail, and the slightest mess up or negative thing will blow all over news sites, and it will all be "LOL GW2 with no Guilds?" not "omg 2.0!" to most community people plus news sites.

This is easier than abc...

Indeed, just the alpha test in sept. So releasing info won't be pushed aside for a free ferrari that will break down in a month.

If anything with the power at SE have, if they decided to go all out on advertising v2.0, everything else will be drowned out. GW2 is one of the overhyped MMO.
