Not really, the roulettes dump Xp on you and a lot of people have road to 80
Just doing a smattering of roulettes every now and then and progressing the MSQ you are going to at latest cap your main in SB

There's some slight workarounds at least up to Lv.60 because players can farm the old PvP gear from Wolf Marks that still contain stat attributes. Its what I used when leveling alts but keeping the MSQ at a slow pace.
Even then, I keep telling that most players who get into the game is mostly for the story as its the biggest selling point. Rarely do the community recommend the game for the dungeons, trials or raids; they just get passing mentions because everyone knows the gameplay for this game is too slow unlike other MMOs that have better tab targeting systems or have more action oriented combat. Or are you going to tell me I'm wrong?
So most people just binge the msq.
There's also that. I know free trial people have limited communication but the most likely scenario is that many of them come in from the recommendation of friends. Ive done this with every friend I managed to get into the game and we've made sure to donate appropriate level gear when they need it during their msq journey.
I do wish they would at least introduce lv.70-90 PvP gear that give you stats so players can have an alternate way of gearing progression. Because honestly I had a lot of fun working on PvP rewards on my early game alts and still upgrade their jobs up to lv.60 with those old sets.
to be fair the MSQ fives you about 4 classes worth of new gear every patch now days, you basically end up with a full set of tome gear, tome weapons, excreta, your way higher ilvl now days than any of us were when it was current content and we were slugging threw MSQ.
this game doesn't need anyone else till you get to the optional multiplayer content after you've seen the credits... its basically ff16 but you dont get to be a primal
Rdm needs more personal damage (like about 1000 or so) over SMN but SE is cowards and won’t buff potency that hard
