The Masked Carnivale is Some of the Worst Content in FFXIV

A constant stream of OHKOs.
Very little time to react.
One mistake and you go back to start.
Mechanics that are ridiculously hard to read.
Drags on WAY TOO LONG.
NO CHECKPOINTS BETWEEN ACTS!!!

God I hate this content only PVP and Ultimates are worse content than this.

I would not be the least bit sad if it was erased from the game.

And here we have a casual player in their natural habitat, attempting content they are obviously unprepared for or are not willing to put time into to learn properly.

It's alright, complain enough and it will get nerfed down to story mode difficulty like the rest of the game.

Yes but have you also gotten tilted in Unreal Trials, Extreme Trials, Savage and PvP to the point that you make a forum thread calling for nerfs or outright deleting the content?

5 vulns will get you deleted by the next hit. Gold rush is simple. DROP UPTIME. Drop all casts. Only instant spells. Prioritise running. It's literally just dodging choreographed AOEs. The final 2 AOEs are quake and the final travelling AOE. You really just have to run clockwise or counterclockwise then end inside the quake safe spot. Do not be scared to step on AOE. It takes a while for them to pop. They will pop in the order they spawn, so they all don't go off at the same time.

Great game design. Nothing is too cryptic that you even need to look up a guide. Check your moves, check the enemies resistances / elements and work accordingly. It's really not that hard.

My only complaint is the inherent nature of what "Limited Job" entails which made me really sad back in 4.5 + Masked Carnivale being a BLU only thing. I'd love some arena challenges for other jobs. :(

Absoltuely, it's a shame that these puzzle bosses are only for BLU. Like I said I would love to see boss designs like this in our regular dungeons. It's great.

Sorry you don't like it. Not all content is liked by all people. I for one hate PvP. I do not wish PvP removed from the game. I simply accept it is not for me. It is for people that like it and it is a GOOD thing that it is there for them.

Your choices are:

Don't play Blue
Don't advance Blue past where carnivale becomes necessary
Bite the bullet and do everything required from carnival and then never go back.

For me I find Carnivale quite challenging at times. Some of the events taking me many tries to finish. I enjoy that about it. Is it frustrating? yes it is. The sense of accomplishment when I do get it done is all the more for the frustration.

Whats wrong WITHIN the FF14 community? How is it you directly quote me and yet mischaracterize what I said? Comparing this to Final Fantasy XIV, which has evolved to have many different types of content available for a wide variety of core groups and minority groups, is equal to comparing apples to oranges. If FFXIV lacks anything, it is a reasonable difficulty curve rather than the vertical difficulty spikes we have now when going from Normal to EX to Savage.

Are you seriously asking me how I know how many players are using illegal addons? I will not mention this illegal addon but learn to do a basic internet search will you! You can directly see total downloads of it on its web page versus going to another website to see the total number of people who have gotten savage clears via achievements. This isn't rocket science!

Congratulations on grasping the main critique from the original poster. The critique is how Blu content does not coincide with the other standards of the game as everything else does as I stated in my original post i.e. normal raids vs savage.

I can tell you don't like or know factual stats huh? Let me again break it down. Compare the total estimated players from either SE's own posts or the estimated players based on achievements which any person can do in less than 10 secs on another site. Then compare that to the total number of players who have gotten the Apotheosis Agria I achievement. So my perception is not skewed but generally accurate. Math is amazing!

Please, do me a favour, if you are going to talk about numbers and statistics throughout a post then actually give us the sources of your numbers - if you claim things, then the burden of proof is on you.

Do you know what a reasonable inference is? Do you know you can make pretty accurate assumptions based on statistics again ANYONE can google if they know how to use the internet. Let me help you. Search for "FF14 total number of active players". Then compare the estimated numbers versus total who have completed Apotheosis Agria I. Not hard! As for your "burden of proof" comment, I will be as vague as possible because I will not provide voice nor mention to illegal addons from third parties on here. And you are right about one thing, I don't like addons because of its implications within the game or players who have to cheat the game while they claim to "get gud" to others. This may not be you, but this includes many I have seen firsthand in game over 10 years since Beta and when one specific illegal addon became more popular.

No. Masked Carnival went for "use your brain to figure out how to remove the wall". Thinking you should win by banging your head against the wall is the sure way to lose.

If you're not enjoying the Masked Carnival, skip it and do all the other things you can do with BLU.
