I don't think controls would be a problem for Wii U. They actually have a "Classic" Wii U Pro Controller that looks like an Xbox 360 controller which works pretty well with this game currently. Well, except the right analog is in a different spot on the Wii U Pro Controller.

Dragon Quest X is a full on MMO not a RPG with multiplayer. I really doubt SE to put 2 MMOs on the same console just to have them cannibalize each other. That would be an mistake. So far as we know SE is not planning a US/EU release for Dragon Quest X it looks to be JP only unless they announce something at a later time.
